Our studio in Hampton is full of big whiteboards, big screens, big ideas, and a big silver Labrador called Foggy. Directors Mark Slater and Alex Fobbester oversee an agile team of dedicated and exceptional creatives and developers, bringing visions to life across multiple sectors.
An accomplished solutions project manager, architect and developer with a grasp for understanding business requirements and delivering solutions with an eye on the larger picture.
Having worked for companies in the engineering, IT, financial and project management sectors has a well rounded exposure to differing environments and draws on this experience.
Able to discuss and explain IT issues clearly and comprehensively to both technical and non-technical people across all levels of an organisation.
An experienced graphic designer, branding specialist, creative facilitator and consultant with a unique creative eye.
Across 10 years as a solo full-service creative services provider, Alex built a portfolio that included logo design and brand identity, copywriting, web design, UI and UX, product design, social media, videography, photography, digital marketing, strategy and more.
Having worked for clients in various sectors that included retail, food and beverage, insurance, health clubs, cosmetic surgery, art and professional wrestling, he brings a real-world understanding of how brands and businesses implement creative.
An experienced facilitator and collaborator, Alex works with teams and individuals at all levels of business to uncover opportunities and solutions.
A creative storyteller with a background in performance and a head for problem-solving, Dan brings a distinctive blend of artistry and logic to video and animation.
With over a decade of experience telling stories both on stage and behind the camera, Dan draws on his training as an actor to craft compelling, engaging content from planning through to shoot and delivery. He also uses these skills to coach, direct and encourage those who are on-camera during their shoot to get the very best out of interviews and scripts.
His academic foundation - holding a Master’s degree in Astrophysics - translates into a logical, structured approach to creative challenges, allowing him to deliver thoughtful, effective visual narratives with clear communication at the core.
At the helm of the video team at Purple Dinosaur, Dan's uniquely methodical and creative approach enables seamless coordination of large and small-scale shoots for a consistent delivery in every aspect, with all videographers, editors and back-of-house team working towards a clear shared objective, with creativity and storytelling at the heart.
Having worked across a wide range of sectors, including aesthetics, construction, medical, food and beverage, science, tech, entertainment, and charity, Dan understands how to tailor stories to resonate with diverse audiences. He helps brands communicate clearly, creatively and with purpose - turning ideas into impactful visual experiences.
Having grown up in the world of social media, Helina has spent years exploring content creation, design, and video editing - developing an intuitive sense of how to create work that connects. From an early age, she experimented with platforms, built audiences, and learned by doing.
Before joining the agency, Helina studied Psychology at University and applied her skills in a marketing role within the professional services industry. There, she gained hands-on experience across brand content, copywriting, design, and digital campaigns.
Now at Purple Dinosaur, she works on a range of digital projects - creating content, supporting campaigns, and contributing to design work with a keen creative eye. She brings curiosity and a hands-on approach to everything she does, and is always looking for new ways to develop her skills and grow creatively.
With a nose for creativity and a tail that never stops wagging, Foggy is the heartbeat of the studio. As our resident Silver Labrador, he takes wellness very seriously, reminding the team to take regular walk breaks, hand out stress-reducing ear scratches, and stay hydrated (especially when there’s a biscuit in it for him).
When he’s not patrolling the office for crumbs or napping in sunspots, Foggy keeps an eye on security, alerting us to any suspicious delivery drivers, squirrels, or rogue snacks.
He also leads our Barketing department, regularly contributing to team morale, social content, and general good vibes. Friendly, dependable, and always up for a cuddle, Foggy is proof that not all heroes wear capes. Some just wear a collar and a big, dopey grin.
